Mitsutoyo Electronic Industries (MEI) is a certified Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider established in 1991, headquartered in Tangkak, Johor, Malaysia. MEI has been providing electronics manufacturing services and technical support to clients across the Networking, Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Medical Devices, Computing, and Telecommunications sectors. Our vision is to serve various industrial sectors by providing a comprehensive one-stop EMS solution. Services provided by MEI include high-speed SMT (Surface Mount Technology), Auto Insertion (AI), Manual Insertion (MI), AOI Vision Inspection, Final Assembly, and Quality Assurance. MEI also operates Mitsutoyo Marketing Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary established to drive the development and distribution of own-branded IT consumer products. Its product portfolio includes USB Flash Drives, memory cards, and multimedia devices, catering to both retail and corporate markets.

Besides EMS, MEI produces its own IT products including USB flash drives, memory cards, and MP3 players since 2005.

Launch of MUGEN — Appliances Brand
MEI expanded its brand portfolio with the launch of MUGEN, a proprietary local appliances brand developed to serve the growing consumer market. MUGEN represents MEI's commitment to innovation beyond EMS — bringing quality, reliability, and value-driven appliances directly to end consumers. MUGEN products were successfully featured on WowShop, Malaysia's largest TV shopping platform, marking the brand's entry into mainstream retail.

OEM Expansion & Energy Innovation
Developed an innovative Energy Saving Device for air-conditioning systems, marking MEI's strategic entry into the OEM home appliances business for the corporate sector.

ISO 9001 & 14001 Certified
Achieved dual ISO certification — ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System — awarded by Independent European Certification (M) Sdn Bhd.
2005
Launch of Mitsutoyo Marketing Sdn Bhd
Established Mitsutoyo Marketing Sdn Bhd to spearhead the launch of own-branded IT products, including USB Flash Drives, memory cards, MP3 and DVD players.

Factory Expansion & Growth
Expanded factory operations to 70,000 sq ft, supported by a skilled workforce of 350 employees.
1996
SMT Production Expansion
Invested in three high-speed, fully automated SMT lines, resulting in a 50% increase in business volume.
1994
Factory Relocation
Relocated to a larger 12,800 sq ft manufacturing plant in Tangkak, Johor. Expanded production capabilities with the addition of SMT machines for Radio Tuner and TV Tuner assembly. Workforce grew to 200 persons.
1991
MEI Founded
Established in May 1991 by Managing Director Mr. Camon Ng Sen Kwee. Started with 20 operators in a 1,400 sq ft factory in Sungai Mati, Johor.
